Danish Structure

OLD BODY FIELD - NOT IN USE ANYMORE!

Pursuant to the Danish Companies Act 3 organisational structures exist in Denmark:

  1. A Board of Directors (in Danish: “bestyrelse”) and an Executive Board (in Danish: “direktion").
  2. A Supervisory Board (in Danish: “tilsynsråd”) and an Executive Board.
  3. An Executive Board only.

Generally, two types of Limited Liability Companies exist in Denmark: A Public Limited Liability Company (in Danish "A/S") and a Private Limited Liability Company (in Danish: “ApS”). Each of the above structures apply to both Public and Private Limited Liability Companies other than the organisational structure where there is only an Executive Board which is only allowed in Private Limited Liability Companies.

Please see, respectively, “Board of Directors”, “Executive Board” and “Supervisory Board” in the left side menu for a more in-depth description of each structure, including how to change the respective board members.
